A nice 'normal' relaxing weekend. Now I really don't know what normal means anymore. People who I thought were normal are not. Maybe I should just say that we had a nice relaxing weekend.

MPH and I went and did a little shopping yesterday. We've been discussing buying a snowblower. I didn't know this but, there are 2 types of snowblowers, single stage and 2 stage. We don't know what kind we might get - but if we have something it will help us from getting a bunch of ice build up in the driveway.

Last winter we didn't have enough snow to worry about it. I expect that this year we will. I think we'll get dumped on a lot. I expect this because I now have a greenhouse and this winter is going to test out how durable it will be, we'll see what the snow load on it will be.

Had brunch with the family this morning. My older sister said my kid wanted it and my kid said that the older sister wanted it. My younger sister is apparently p.o.'d at my older sister right now and didn't come. Whatever.

I really should be getting some productive things done with this slow time right now. I don't know what I want to do, but I'm not getting anything done. I crocheted up a couple more kitchen towel toppers last night. We actually watched 3 movies too. We should get a little more active though, but this is nice - we don't get this very often.

In 5 weeks I'll be getting ready to take off for our Nevada/Arizona vacation. I haven't reserved a car yet, nor any hotel rooms - I suppose I should check into these things.

This week at work we have a big workshop on Thursday. Bozo the budget officer is supposedly going to jump on our asses on Thursday. Whatever.

I have 14 yrs 11 months left today. I swear that I am going find some other productive way to fill my life when I become eligible for retirement. There's just no way that I want to be sitting around to do this same stuff. When I retire, I want to be active, get plenty of exercise, travel, garden, and take care of animals. However, I don't think our agency will be doing this type of work 15 years from now. I think I'll be lucky to stay in another 10 years - it'll all be contracted out. I'll probably end up working for that guy from my last entry.

Maybe it wouldn't be bad.
