Has it been 2 months?Mazatlan was wonderful. I learn something new about MPH all the time. On the Mexican beaches there are peddlers all the time. MPH made friends with all of them and knows them all by name. Most people shush them off and some even scream at them. MPH has to talk with them about what they're selling, how much, etc. By the end of the week he knows them all. The resort we stayed at was perfect. The pool was huge, building wasn't new but it was well taken care of, the size of the place was perfect for me. I also liked that it wasn't downtown, and it was quiet. My kid will be graduating in less than 6 weeks, unbelievable. I'm hoping that this happens anyhow. She hasn't been keeping her grade up in the one class that she absolutely has to pass. We've been looking for a cat. MPH wants a kitten - he thinks that he can train a kitten. Work has been nuts, another reorganization is in the works somewhere. One of my coworkers is sliding downhill, she's never there and she doesn't get anything done, and what she does do is all screwed up. Unfortunately there are no consequences for this either. It's frustrating to us that do make the extra effort and are conscientious about our jobs. Somehow I've also gotten myself nominated and placed on a non-profit board, that provides services that I unfortunately don't give a rats ass about, but the present board was so hosed, and my sisters who are also members kind of guilt-tripped me into doing this. The dogs, the dogs are doing great. I took them to work with me a couple days this week. The CO detector went off at home and I didn't have time to deal with it that early in the morning. So I just threw the dogs in the back of the Trooper and took them with - they stayed in the truck all day. It had to be better than staying in the kennel all day. It does seem kind of cruel to do that to them. Other than that these are very pampered very loved dogs. They're well taken care of, fed properly, and they sleep in the corner of the bedroom, and they spend all their time in the house. Sometimes I feel guilty about the amount of time they spend in the kennel - but other than that - they have perfect homes. The rugrat came over last night and is really turning out to be a monster kid. He shrieks, talks incessantly, is rough, is never gentle and doesn't want to cuddle, has to touch everything, has to have his way. Yuck. I have to threaten him with bodily harm before he will quit doing things. He'll drive us up the wall. I wish he would only come over when MPH is here. MPH gets a handle on him pretty quick. We colored Easter eggs with him, he lost interest after about 5 minutes.
